Planning a wedding takes a lot of time. You spend countless hours planning every detail- down to the perfect lip color. But if you search the Sephora website for the best color, it will be clear that you first have to choose a formula. Traditional lipstick? Liquid lipstick? Do you need a lip liner? With so many options it is easy to get overwhelmed. To help you make that decision, I’ve compiled a list of product formulas with some pros and cons of each. And, I included my bridal clients' pink, nude, and red favorites.

1. Lipstick: Lipstick is the old faithful option. But, lipstick has different finishes. So, first you have to decide if you prefer a matte or a creamy finish. Most cosmetic lines will carry both and it is just a matter of preference. And, I recommend getting a matching lip liner to get a clean look.

Pros:

- There are LOTS of options for color, feel, and cost.

- It’s the easiest to apply!

Cons:

- It will wear off the quickest.

- The “kiss the bride” moment will leave a mark- literally

Favorites:

Pink/Nude MAC Creamcup, Urban Decay Fuel, MAC Whirl

Red: MAC Ruby Woo

2. Liquid Lipstick: Liquid lipstick is the newest, most popular lip product- and for good reason. Because once you apply liquid lipstick, it won't budge for hours. And, there are great high-end and affordable options.

Pros:

- There are great affordable options.

- It will last all day!

- It won’t kiss off.

Cons:

- It can be hard to apply- practice!

- Some will stain your lips for a day.

Favorites:

Pink/Nude: Kat Von D Lovesick, Colourpop Lightweight

Red: Anastasia Beverly Hills American Doll

3. Lipgloss: If the idea of matte lips sounds terrible, you’ll likely prefer lip gloss. And, some people don’t like a lot of color on the lips. So, a lip liner with a nude gloss can look stunning. For a glittery look, try Jouer Skinny Dip lip topper- its GORGEOUS!

Pros:

- It is a great option for a more natural look.

- You will probably use it after the wedding.

Cons:

- You will need to reapply it throughout the day.

- Lipgloss kisses are sticky- my husband hates it.

Favorites:

Buxom White Russian, e.l.f. Peach Bellini, Marc Jacobs Moonglow
